Jason,

?

District points and such are District issues. Contact Emory and Lamar. As I recall the D3 points system we didn't have any provision for such a situation. I believe your friend would keep his points and if he still comes out on top after the D3 Champs, he wins. As I recall, the District Champs were worth 1.5X for ranking, so he could be losing a lot of points if he moves up now.

?

Matt

I don't see why it would make a difference. If his points hold up, he wins, if not, he loses. But Jerry said there is no rule on this, he just can't move back down (which he doesn't want to). Not there yet, have some things left to do here. Not something that I had to contimplate so far this year. Emory or Lamar might have the answer. I'm at work whats the turnout down there this year. gary -----Original Message----- From: nsrca-discussion-bounces at lists.nsrca.org [mailto:nsrca-discussion-bounces at lists.nsrca.org] On Behalf Of JShulman Sent: Friday, September 28, 2007 8:34 PM To: NSRCA Mailing List Subject: Re: [NSRCA-discussion] ASAP District points question He just doesn't want to lose his points. He doesn't care if he doesn't win cause someone gets more points, just doesn't want to lose what he's worked for all year. Well, his practice has been paying off cause he is flying Intermediate well enough to compete this weekend in Jacksonville. Here's the problem. He was told that if he moves up for this last contest he will lose all his points in Sportsman. Is there a rule that states when you move up a class at some point during the year (before the end of the year) you lose all the years points previous to the contest flown? It's the last contest of the year so he could fly Sportsman, but he doesn't really want to. I don't want him to lose his Sportsman points that he's earned all year just for one contest, but he wants the extra challenge.
