[NSRCA-discussion] Futaba 9z with Spektrum SPMMSFUT7

I agree that a lot of R/Cers should not consider opening the back of
a transmitter to do an installation like this, even though most could
probably do the job if they thoroughly researched what had to be done
before starting the job. Sadly, many are unwilling to read
instructions before jumping into a job. These people should never
open the back of a transmitter.

I remember when the first dual rate switches were used on
transmitters. Transmitters did not come with them installed. A
young guy named Jim Oddino (remember him?) published a how-to-install
dual rate switches article in his R/C Modeler magazine column back in
the 1970s. I read the article thoroughly, bought the parts and
installed dual rate elevator and aileron switches in my Kraft KP-7Z
transmitter. They worked perfectly! Club members looked at my
transmitter and I could see the thought going through their heads,
"If Van Putte can do this, so can I!" Pretty soon, transmitters all
around my club were sporting dual rate switches.
