[NSRCA-discussion] Connectors - Electric

One set (1 female, 1 male) of connectors do not weigh any more than a deans
connector. With the 6mm connectors have a much higher amp rating.

There can be a safety issue when using them though, So If you do decide to
convert from your current connector (ie deans) to the billet, caution needs
to taken not to short out battery when not in use.

I use different lengths on leads to minimize this issue, When installing
battery in plane and storing I use nylon caps on positive male. Dave Snow
uses a simple nylon spacer found at local home store, drilling out center to
match the male connector.

I keep this insulator in place until I am ready to charge or connect to my
ESC.

Bill,
How much lighter are the 6mm compared to the 5.5mm ones that most of us
in Chicago are using?
