They would normally recommend the prop that gives the rated horsepower... not the prop thats actually practical to use.
To give the rated horsepower... you have to under-prop and rev the engine up. That way they can give you a curve that says it has more power.
that would be fine if we were commonly using belt reduction drives to swing the bigger props at lower, more efficient RPM. But the added weight would be a problem.
So we put on bigger props and operate the engines in a different RPM range than where they were rated.

The prop choice is quite interesting. Curious as to what kind of rpm it will turn the 17x13. A 2 stroke 140 easily turns the 17x13 in a useful, quiet rpm range. But it's possibly a bit fast.
It seems to me a bunch of people flocked to the 140 EFI about 5 years ago, and maybe OS is thinking "loyal users". Fast forward 5 years with electrics making the strong showing they are and for good reason, and the YS right there also for good reason.
In my view OS may have missed the boat on this one. If it will run a 20x11 at 7000, they may have something

Gee, I can not wait for the price of only 2.5 170DZ s. I need the power edge because my lowly 140 ys sport cannot manage. :D

Here is another option for power. It is expensive.
