Hi Jim,
The electrics were generally flown faster this year and yes, it was windy, 
though not as bad as the Finals of 2006. Newer batteries and propeller 
advances accounted for most of the increase. Last year, the 22 X 12 was the 
predominant prop which is pretty slow. This year, I think most were using 
the 21 X 14 and the 20.5 X 14 on the typical Hacker C50-14XL setups with a 
noticeable increase in speed. I'm sure there were others, but this was the 
setups I heard about most often. I'd have to say that there was neither an 
advantage or disadvantage in the electrics. Just another power source.
