After watching Tony replace the memory battery in my Futaba 9ZAP, I
wouldn't want to do it myself. It looks like open heart surgery,
with circuit boards laid aside on ribbon connectors. It isn't a
pretty sight. If the JR 8303 is anything like the 9Z, don't try it
yourself.
