Tim:
Yep, the internal battery went below the 3v minimum to retain the memory

The battery will have to be replaced.

Subject: [NSRCA-discussion] JR 8303 Tx - 'Backup Error'

I was headed out to the field on the weekend, and checked the voltage in my
Tx on the way out of the basement, only to get a ‘Backup Error’ message on
the screen. When I turned off and back on again, everything was fine, except
for the fact that all memory had been erased. It’s a time waster to transfer
all the settings back in (I have them backed up on paper), but I need to
know the cause.

I’m assuming this is a failure of the internal backup battery (assuming
there is one?), but I wanted to poll the list before I started hunting
around to see if I could replace such a beast myself.

Thanks for any ideas,
