Thanks Jay,

Now that you describe it, I remember that article - and so does the
wayback machine over at http://www.archive.org/

http://web.archive.org/web/20050308221159/www.piedmontmodels.com/dave_brown_hard_mount_made_soft.htm

In the interest of preserving this great content, I've attached the
image and here are the instructions:

This simple mount isolates the engine with neoprene well nuts, neoprene
washers and silicone fuel tubing. The mount uses a Dave Brown 1.20 hard
mount. I don't know that I'd recommend it for a hard banging 4 stroke,
but it's fine for 2 strokes. The mount doesn't need a nose ring. You
can adjust the stiffness by how snug you tighten the well nuts. The
reason for the large screws is to provide a well nut with sufficient
grip range to hold to a 1/4" firewall. Even with the large screws the
entire mount weighs less than 4 ounces!

Drill 3/8" holes in the firewall for the well nuts. Drill 5/16" holes
in the Dave Brown 1.20 hard mount for the fuel tubing (when you run the
screws through the tubing it will tighten against the holes).

The neoprene well nuts and neoprene washers might be a little tricky to
find at your local hardware store. You can get them mail order from
McMaster-Carr at http://www.mcmaster.com/ The washers are P/N
90133A017, the well nuts are P/N 93495A250.
