  The present tip chord I use in my designs is around 6" therefore the TE thickness would be around 3/32" at the tip of my ailerons and roughly 2X that at the inboard end, which is pretty near what I used. Dumb luck or empirical experience, take your pick

  I'm mad at myself for not filing the article in KitPlanes so I ordered another copy of the Dec issue. It may be two weeks showing up. I remember Jim Bede, of BD 5 fame, also extolling the virtues of a thick TE.

    The Windtunnel article by Barnaby Wainfain, Dec 06 Kitplanes, discussed controll effects / drag of thick trailing edges. Unfortunately I gave my issue away. I do recall it was all positives for the thicker TEs.           Nat
