[NSRCA-discussion] Wing adjuster socket material

OK, I'm debating changing the topic because your fair questions is actually
on a diferent topic. My answer is: two reasons, neither of which are
particularly elegant.
I tried this once and ran into two issues:
1. The sheeting glue bonded the two pieces together and then finding the
exact parting line to slice them apart was difficult. The actual part line
was glue filled so that left my edge ratty and I had to do more filling than
I wanted (took too long). By using only the wing TE, the aileron cut line
can be 1/8" off the TE piece, letting me trim/sand the wing TE perfectly
with no gouge/fill. The aileron LE is then trimmed to the proper size and
capped.
2. The doubling of the balsa between the aileron root end and the wing root
causes a 1/2" thick balsa section. Even with lightening holes it is heavier
than foam (but I admit that if one works hard at this, it can be overcome).
Maybe I just don't know the "trick" to doing this, so if there is an easy
solution to these problems, let me know and I'll gladly consider it.
