I guess I've lived up north too long to confuse I-80 with I-10...
:-)
Texas City...
Was that the club with the sprinkler system that had such a nice grass 
runway?
Did we fly against each other back then?
I was seduced by the "darkside" around '85 and left pattern for F3C.
Quit altogether around '87 and got back in to R/C this past year.
Wish I had stayed in pattern.
Have you kept flying all these years?
Great to hear from someone from back then!
