Hi All,
If I correctly understood what I was told at this weekend's WRAM Show by the
Futaba people (not by any stretch a guarantee), their new 2.4ghz system does
not just blindly frequency hop to any ole` frequency. I was told that the
transmitter "looks ahead" several steps to insure that the next few frequencies
in the "hop" are available. If the next planned frequency in the "hop" is
occupied, the transmitter does not include that frequency in its hopping
schedule. In short, I was told that the transmitter will only switch to unused
frequencies.
BTW - I was also told that the transmitter uses a "coding system" with its
receiver, similar, I guess, to the Horizon system, combined with the frequency
changing.
You radio experts will know much better than I how this "looking ahead"
would work or if it is even possible. Since I don't know, I asked a lot of
questions, always got the above answers, and have to believe what I was told until
I hear better here.
Regards,
Frank Granelli
