Hah, I didn't even think about the stick pots. Seems that would be the first place they would try using shaft encoders.
   
  Linear outputs from the servos would be great, also. Oh, wait a minute, that was done 35 years ago with the KPS-11 servos. Nevermind....   :-)

  When you say analog, I assume you are talking about the feedback loop? I wonder how long it will be until we get shaft encoders in our servos. Or, for that matter, the shaft encoder could be mounted to the control surface itself.

  I was under the impression that the "Super Servos" were actually first generation digital servos. Is that not correct?
