[NSRCA-discussion] F3A 09 questions

Presently FAI have only published the F3A '09 / '11 maneuver lists and Aresti. Bob Skinner expects the detailed maneuver descriptions to publish soon. A committee of three has them nearly completed (apparently some discussions ongoing regarding the words "hesitation" and "pause"). Until then - we can only speculate, the first F09 Aresti shows rolls reversed but the list doesn't say - the last (two snaps reversed) would seem that the first snap would need to stop wings level, then the second snap - but then, what's the definition of pause? I'll keep pinging the CIAM site and will post a link to the list as soon as the new maneuver descriptions are available.

I also have a question for the F09: last manuver - is there a specification for the pause length between the 2 snap rolls? Is any pause (from 0-??) acceptable?

I think this is what we accept but not always the rule. For example the end box half square loop on corner shows opposite roll directions but they are optional from the last sequences.

First maneuver of F09- do the rolls reverse during the loop? Tom M did not think so when I asked him at the D3 championships.

    Thanks for any clarification.

Bryan H told me: always look at the aresti's... I kept thinking he was doing
the double immelmann wrong... Until I saw the aresti's. As far as I remember
there's a humpty in the P sequence that pretty much forces you to use the
whole box because of the maneuver that follows it... Haven't seen the F in
all its glory.
