Gota vote for the MK electric. 4 aa batteries and you're all set. I have 2. 
One is from last century sometime, and after years and years and hundreds of 
gallons, the plastic on the switch split in half....so I got another one, 
and I'm still using it.

The old one still works just fine, just has a 2 piece switch. =)
