Happened to me at a pattern contest, always had it my mind if it happened again I would land and request a refly for the whole flight after they was off the cell.

P.S. really proud of Jason and the other judges turning off there cell while judging very commendable, kodo's gentelman, I always leave mine in the van at contest and check from time to time when I'm not busy.

"Behind the times" might be a good thing. I've heard of an instance, at a major contest, where a pilot took off and shortly thereafter he heard a cell phone ring. It belonged to one of the judges. The judge answered the phone, and talked on the phone THE WHOLE FLIGHT while he was judging.

Would anyone be justified in having that judges scores thrown out for the whole round? How can he maintain a consistent judging standard through the whole round?

BTW, this was IMAC, not pattern.
