Probably used and flow by "Doc" Goode. (Good). He and his brother pioneered a lot of old RC, tube type. If you could get the plane to land in the adjacent field, it was a successful flight.
Don't forget Ed Thompson's Digitrio. Later to become Digi-Quad. I shipped many of these kits and semi-kits to military active duty personnel oversea's and here in the US. A lot of guy's cut their teeth on these kits. It was affordable and reliable at the time.
First kits used metal linear servos, like the original Bonner's. Of course, later on Fosgate engineered the Pro-Line, single stick and dual stick, using Kraft mechanics. Kraft and Pro-Line were the radios to have in the late 60's and early 70's.
