[NSRCA-discussion] Fact............

Very true Derek......you have a huge number in comparison, we may have two or 300, Australia wide??.

Interestingly, John stepped forward to have a go at it ( Hi John!!) John did spend a considerable time down here flying under our system, and I'm sure he is aware of it's faults!! But technology has come a long way and may be used more effectively these days, more so than even two years ago?

But, as ever, any system will require the input and lots of work by some very dedicated individuals. I'm sure the NSRCA doesn't just 'run' itself, as many might believe!!
I see it even down at local club level...its always the same guys that do all the work for the benefit of everyone else. So Yes-it may be a resource issue for the NSRCA, just like it is an ongoing issue for the APA.

You never know, just as positive out of all this...you may just end up with an improved system out of all this discussion?

Tom

The biggest difference are the numbers - how many pattern pilots in
Australia that fly in contests versus the number of contests and pilots that
fly in the US?

Don't get me wrong on this - I've been advocating a centralized scoring
system for many years - we have the technology and my scoring program allows
one to export data. If a smart guy with lots of time can devise a scoring
program to do this automatically and export data, send it via the Internet
to a centralized location and then on the receiving end to upload the data -
please see me. :)

Well...you guys sure crack me up!

Lots of discussion.

If a bunch of Aussies can implement and use a (central) system, which we
have been using for many, many years....surely you Guys have the technology
as well? Now all you need to do is work on the National average idea and
percentage promotional values thereof <VVBG> :)

Respectfully

Tom
