Hi Jeff,
I usually scuff mine with Scotch-Brite pads. It's easier than wet-
sanding and gets into the nooks and crannies better too. They're much 
cheaper to buy by the case at an industrial supplier like McMaster 
Carr. I use #7447.Hope this helps!
