No Fred.... It means that once you get there and start competing against this level
of competition, you'll understand! AMA and FAI is apples and oranges... different
rules and a different list of approved manuevers... So, yes Masters is a destination
class. Masters doesn't have compound rolling manuevers like FAI, they're not allowed
in AMA. Some districts are now contemplating adding the F sequences in the local
contests. This would really make Masters a destination class, as most wouldn't have
time to practice two sequences!
There is really no such thing as SANDBAGGING in Masters.... There's too much
competition in that class. You take the local Masters flyer that wins much of the time...
If he goes to the NATS, there will be at least 25 Masters flyers capable of making the finals.
Two AW $#%@!, and he's out! The scores are that close! Going to the NATS and placing
well is his goal... Not being a sandbagger back home! In fact, I don't know of any winning
Masters flyers at the local level that "DOESN'T" go to the Nats....

And... that says that you don't think that Masters REALLY is the destination class...

.............
The competition in
Masters is enough that you would never get tired of flying there unless you
are getting maximum scores and have won it all...
Then you get the opportunity to jump in the shark tank with all the FAI
..........
