Check the valve cover gasket. The valve cover acts as a air chamber and
during the cycle there is a vacuum. The vacuum can cause the gasket to suck
in and cause an air leak.

Subject: [NSRCA-discussion] Engine question

Hi all,

Just ran my YS 140L for the first time in many years. It runs, but after
idling for a while it dies. It surges a little at idle sometimes. Is this
a low speed needle issue, pump issue or what? It has new bearings, diaphram
and gaskets. Anyone got any ideas? It did not do this before, but has been
sitting for years. Bore and all looked perfect when it was apart to replace
the bearings. Top end sounds smooth and perfect, maybe just a little rich
still. LOL Thanks in advance.
