[NSRCA-discussion] 4 blade spinner

To me the 4 B is such a 1-dimensional prop that there is really no place for
it. My favorites so far for the YS 160 (in no particular order) are the
15.75x10 DL 3B, 18.1x10.1, and 16.5x13. If you are flying a lot and have
the throttle management down so that you won't fly too fast, ,the 16.5x13 is
a beautiful prop to fly as it is very smooth and quiet (again, using superb
throttle management). The 18.1 is a bit louder but much more forgiving on
throttle management, but you can still explode through the top of maneuvers
and accelerate away from you if you leave it on too long. The 15.75x10
shapes the pattern beautifully too, but you need to add power a tad earlier
than with the 18.1, and leave it on a bit longer than with the 18.1. The
15.75 is VERY quiet. Each of these props handles the F07 rolling S well
with total authority.

I've not been impressed with any of the 4B flying I've seen.
Jim W.

I think you will find the 18.1x I0W APC To be a good prop for that engine.
