I just put a Brio 10 together this week and test flew it today. I used the E-flight 10 motor with the 40 Amp speed controller. Pull pull rudder set up and a 2200 Lipo with 15C output. On the initial flight the wheels locked up trying to take off from grass. Some mods to the retaining screws and back to try again. I decided on a hand launch from Ron Lockhart instead. It porpoised like crazy and I had a few moments of agita until holding half up elevator calmed it down and landed. I found that I hadn't tightened the elevator retaining screw enough and it was holding about 15% down elevator on its own. Fixed that and back for try number three. Three was the charm. A couple of clicks here an there and it locked in very nicely. Pretty much started doing Intermediate pattern right away then on to Advanced. Nice Avalanches. Kept going vertical forever. Decided to land after about 6 minutes. No problems. Checked for any meltdowns and all was cool. Battery about 105 and controller cold. I h
ad some older 2100 Lipos with me but soon found that the discharge rate was to too small for the plane so the next flight didn't have the same authority as with the new advanced Lipo. It is a little nose heavy right, balances about 3 and 7/8 inches back from the leading edge, but I have room to cut off the standoffs and move the motor back and tweek some other stuff and get another new battery but other than that I think I have a new easy to take with me practice plane. Of course Dave L started doing rolling circles with it so I know it can do that to. Just wanted to share the experience. Joe Z
