  Hi Georgie,

The 9C is an awesome radio, and I think offers the most capability for the $$$. You description below made perfect sense to me as I was reading it, as the P-Mix values (or % travel) are established by the ATV for the selected channels. Thus, if your total ATV is high, and you start flipping DR switches while holding the input, you should see a proportional change in the throw of the P-Mix (high rates will show more P-Mix than low rates). The 9C has "triple" rates, and not really "flight-conditions" like the 9WCII. Thus, once you turn on a mix, it is available for all three rate settings - all the time. If you set up your rates for a high-rate, normal flight, and snap, then as you flip the switches you'll see corresponding changes to the amount of mix throw in the model (given the DR rates are indeed different).

The switch selected for the DR should not affect the values. However, if you have two DR's assigned to switch B, then pull one away to switch G, there might be a remaining ATV change on the switch G from another channel (maybe I misunderstood your description???).

Zinger: In order to achieve the triple rates, you must have them assigned to a 3 position switch. My favorite is the tall switch C. Fully up is normal flight, middle snap, lowest landing/stall turn (high rate AIL, ELV, RUD). This is basically 3 flight conditions - except that your Mix values and ATV's are constantly on for each rate condition. (However, EXP is adjustable indepentantly for each DR setting).

  Hope this helps.

  Jim

  Georgie,

Is this a 9C or 9C "Super"? I have one of the older 9C's (non- Super) but I might be able to help. Describe your P-mixes in detail. Look at ALL the mixes in there. Maybe there is some other mix enabled that you don't know about. My guess is there is some mix that has link enabled (not the ones you set up, but another on that you don't know about). If all else fails, just copy the model that works into another spot, then change the things that you need to make it work on the new model. If it works correctly, just overwrite the saved model that you're having problems with now.

    Hi Guys,

I'm in need of a little help from any of the Futaba 9C gurus out there.

After setting up a new airplane yesterday I noticed a problem that I had never run into before and I'm hoping somebody can help me rectify the situation.

In my programming procedure I incorporated 4 P-mixes along with all the other D/R's, Expo's,e.t.c. However, at the conclusion of my session I noticed that the rudder dual rate switch affected the throws of the P-Mixes to the same percentage value as the dual rate function. This happens even if I assign a different switch to the rudder dual rate function, i.e. if I assign switch "G" to the rudder dual rate function the values of the P-Mixes change when I throw switch "B"( the normal rudder dual rate switch).

I have another model programmed into this same transmitter with the same 4 P-Mixes installed and there is no problem with that model when I throw switch "B".

All the mix switches are set to null with links and trims set to the "off" position.

Something's got to be running in the background that is enabling the "B" switch to have overriding authority over the mix functions.

Anybody out there got any ideas. Any and all input is greatly appreciated.

    TIA,

    Georgie
