I agree with Alan.

A smooth TO and a great landing set pattern apart from all others.as long as
your not using me as an example .There is always room for improvement.vbg.

I also agree with the scored TO/L for Sportsman, Intermediate, and Advanced.
10's & 0's for Masters. By the time you hit Masters, the landings are almost
a given 10 anyway. Well unless you add a 20mph crosswind, then they all
start looking pretty ugly from there.

I think they should be scored. The fact that I have always been scored on
them has made me strive to do them better than before.

There are a few maneuvers in some sequences that should only be scored 0 or
10.......You get a 10 just to have the balls to try it :-)

Yeah, but those pesky takeoff and landing scores give you away every time.

Let me expand on what Arch wrote.  The AMA property has three flying
sites that we use for competition.  We use two sites for the Master 
and F3A classes.  One site is used for Intermediate and Advanced.  As 
a result of requiring each class of pilots to judge the next 'lower'
class, Advanced can't fly at the same time as Intermediate.  The same
is true for Master and F3A.  Master pilots judge Advanced and F3A, so
they must fly in different sessions.  So, one session (either morning
or afternoon on alternating years) will have Intermediate and Master
pilots competing.  The other session will have Advanced and F3A 
competing.  I hope this helps.
