[NSRCA-discussion] 1st Annual GMA Spring Pattern Challenge

We had to wait a while to get some details taken care of, but for anyone thinking about coming down, It's been approved and it's definitely happening. Here's the info:

April 8-9, 2006 

You are cordially invited to attend the first ever GMA Spring Pattern Challenge at the new GMA field in Ball Ground, Ga on April 8-9, 2006. 

Field will be open for practice starting at 12:00pm on Friday, April 7.

Pilot's meeting will be held at 9:00 AM on Saturday, April 8. Flying begins as soon after as possible.

Classes flown will be 401, 402, 403, 404 and 406. The event is scheduled for 4 rounds on Saturday, 2 rounds Sunday (weather permitting). Trophies through 3rd place, 5th in sportsman.

A mini-seminar will be conducted around 3:00pm Friday for first time contestants!

Entry fee: $30 for NSRCA member, 

$35 for non NSRCA members

Directions to field:

>From I-75

Take I-575 North to exit 19, Ga. hwy 20 

Ramp circles around, turn left (East) at red light.

Go approximately 8.5 miles to Ga hwy 369, turn left

Go approximately 8-10 miles and turn left on Old Federal Road

Field is about 1/4 mile on right.

>From Ga 400 N

GA 400 North to Hwy 369, turn left (west)

Go 8 miles, turn right on Old Federal Road. The site is 3/4 mile on the right.
