How absolutely pathetic has this group become. We are actually having a vote to decided if some other pilots get a vote.

Appalling. 

I wish I could ask the NSRCA for my dues back this year!

   The banquet has already been voted on it will be held on Tuesday evening. 
  This came up at the board meeting  Eric told us that the Intermediate and advanced pilots were unhappy having to stay until Thursday to get their awards. Dave said that he would let them vote at the Sunday’s pilots meeting as to which day they wanted to receive their awards. The board has been asked to vote on this issue so now we must vote because it is in the minutes of the board meeting.

  If the board votes YES the Intermediate/Advanced pilots will get to vote at the pilots meeting Sunday evening as to when they will receive their awards.

  If the board votes NO then, we are making the decision for the Intermediate/Advanced pilots then the awards will be given out Thursday evening

  We will be prepared to handle it either way at the Nat’s

    Lance, I know no-one's asking us Adv/Int pilots anything yet, but I certainly would prefer the Banquet be on Wed. and the Int/Adv. awards be presented at that time.

      This issue seemed to come up very quickly and I'm forwarding it to get your input asap.

      Here is my current statement to the proposal at the bottom:

      This the CD's issue, but I do feel we can help (if asked) to shake the bushes and get some input from the members as guidance.  let's be clear that Dave is asking for our input. 

      Vote time really gets my attention.  Please confirm my limited understanding. Is it true that
      1. The banquet will still be on Tuesday?
      2. There is a question of whether the Int/Adv should get their awards at the end of their competition or the end of the contest (this is the only issue)
      3. The Masters/FAI awards will be on Thursday, but there will be no BBQ?

      Everyone I've talked with in my district misses the combined banquet/awards on Wed.  Even the master/FAI guys concede that holding the banquet on Tuesday did not really help.  They, like all of us, were in the middle of a national championship and couldn't really cut loose.  I think there is no good solution for the M/F finals guys to "make joy" with the entire pattern community during the competition and if we were to hold the banquet on Thursday, attendance would be too low.  In other words, their needs can not be met and therefore they can not influence what is right for the majority.

      PS> Dave Guerin's Nats invite in the Jan issue of KF did not have his phone or email.  The NSRCA website does not list this on the competitions page for the nats.  This is basic info that most every contest CD provides.  I think our Nats CD should be more accessible.  Can someone give me his email?  Lamar, can we get this info on the website and maybe in the KF too?

      We discussed whether to allow the Intermediate and advanced pilots to vote at the pilots meeting Sunday evening to receive their awards on Wednesday or Thursday. Everyone wanted some time to poll his or her district before voting. The vote on this was scheduled for March/3/06 so it’s time to vote I will close the voting on 3/12/06

      A YES vote will allow the Intermediate and Advanced pilots to vote at the pilots meeting Sunday evening whether they will receive their awards on Wednesday or Thursday.

      A NO vote will mean that the Intermediate and advanced pilots will receive their awards on Thursday evening with the Masters and FAI pilots.
