[NSRCA-discussion] American Turf Flyers Pattern Contest-Bill Thomas

Bill Thomas did come by to see "what we were doing" at the contest. Bill introduced me to pattern flying about 91' when I lived in Bartlesville. A big thanks to him. He was looking great, I was glad to see him, he had a new Futaba hat w/ name and NSRCA plackard in place.
   
  The Turf flyers contest was a good one and a great facility, was my home club for 10 years plus and I enjoyed seeing the place and many club members again who helped scribe. A top notch facility that is the top 2 I have flown at, the top being muncie.
   
  Congrats to Steve on his 1st very successful contest. Hes been flying pattern a couple of years and stepped up and put on a good contest.

I hate it when the 'old timers' like Bill Thomas drop off the RADAR. 
I remember watching him and Bill Cunningham fly at the Nats and F3A 
Team Selection Finals (some bozos insist on calling it the "F3A Team 
Trials"). It makes me feel old; oh hell, I AM old.
