Surprised nobody mentioned W.Matt's ARROW; same vintage. Campaigned several Arrows in early to mid-80s, glass and wood. The MK all wood Arrows were incredible fliers. The Arrow was the original deep fused plane I experienced and I still believe it was the best rolling model around.

And then there was the Illusion, which I believe was a Tipo derivative. I think Dick Hanson had a version called the Hippo Tipo.

I can't believe I forgot the Tipo-went through several of the standard, the 750 and a couple stretch versions. Someone said memory is the second thing to go....
I’m trying to figure out how this got balled up…

And there was the Curare—but ’77 vintage--one of those unfortunate ‘pulled up when inverted’ catastrophes—and I liked that airplane…..kicked myself around for a couple weeks after that one…
Prettner won the Worlds with an ARF Suprafly in ’85 (at least I think that’s what it said on the tail of the airplane)

If memory serves....Deception was a 1976 Kimbro design (huge plane at the time)...flew mine in 85, 86, 87, and 88.

Tipos were very popular in the mid 80s....before the "invasion" of the inverted motor configurations of the Magic, Atlanta, Aurora, etc. Locally (NE US), the Asteris Omen and Pappas Maya were cutting edge.
