Please explain. A laptop is a single unit. What two things could be
affected?
By the way, do not let your kids listen to that Tenacious D CD.......

Re: [NSRCA-discussion] Lap top batteries
Taking this down a completely different path, there was a study a year or
so ago linking laptop usage to men who's wife's were having troubles
conceiving a child. Seems the laptop was warming a couple of things that
need to stay cool to remain functional.

When you use a pillow you block the cooling air flow. Vola!

Subject: [NSRCA-discussion] Lap top batteries
I just was reading an article in a local paper and thought I would pass
along some warnings that are going with lap top Li Ion batteries. It seems
that with the added micro processor power of lap tops and all of the added
components, it is stressing the Li Ion batteries which of course causes
heat and then possibly flame. There have been several occurences of this
on planes and in the home. It seems when they get hot people are then
using a pillow to protect there legs and continue to use the computer. The
next thing is a hissing and then flame. Maybe with this occuring to the
general public it will encourage manufacturers to build in some safety
features or a better shell design for the battery. This can only help the
RC community with safety issues. JEZ
