After my kid was done with one of the Plymouth vans I owned several years  
back, it would just barely drive. It was Junkyard for sure. It just turned out  
the local Toyota dealer was advertising "$2500 for a trade in, any condition"  
Well, my Toy is still running practically like new. 
 
The Plymouth was very good also.... was built in Canada. It lasted  almost 13 
years and about 200K. I must admit it felt weird driving  the old friend to 
its demise but it had to be done, and better that  way than the other.

Geez!   I've never driven a car to the junkyard.  That must feel like   
taking an old friend to the cemetary.
