David,

Kavan on (2) RC car batteries (14.4V) is fine for just about anything I have
run across. YS 160DZ-Webra's Moki's

I'm running the Central hobbies basic starter

http://www.centralhobbies.com/Electrical/starters/basic.html

on 14.4V and it is plenty plenty. I use 3000mah nimh RC car packs they last
about a year and are like $35-40
