I had similiar issues recently with Metallic Plum--was afraid i was going to melt the foam wing before it finally sorta stuck. After about 5 months, I now have small areas that have come loose.

I covered the bottom of the wing (Focus I rebuild) with monocote and top with Ultra cote. Ultra cote looks as good as when it was applied. I have other planes that have Ultra cote several years old--still tight and no loose areas.

There may be a mesage here for Great Pains.

Yes 2 years ago Mickey and I had stuff so bad we called Great Planes to complain. It's not as good as it used to be. I have switched over to Ultracote.

heck of a time getting it down and stuck. The piece
will look good, but the next day there are placed
where the covering has lifted off the wood. I heat it
with a gun, rub it down with a mit, and it will look
good again, next day same thing. I have not had this
trouble in the past. Thanks
