BTW.. be sure to do a lateral ballance check on your Quest. Mine took appx 1.2 oz of lead shot in one wingtip.

I have a friend who had two of the graphtech units on a 5 pound airplane and they both delaminated at the fuse bend on landings that were a little rough, but not enough to rip the gear out of the plane.

    John,

Try the repair that Jim suggested.
If that doesn't help, you may want to check out graph tech.
They have lots of sizes. I carry bolly and ES, but none close to your. Your gear is way too tall with narrower track

I have a Quest 2 I am flying to get back in to pattern after being gone since the '80s.
After it's 56th flight today I noticed the landing gear has begun to show cracks.
A bad one at one of the gear/fuse mounting holes and some "spiderwebbing"
where the gear makes it's bend from the fuse bottom to turn down to form the gear leg.
I can order another from Ultra RC (I hope) but I'm afraid I will be in the same shape after another 56 flights.
    The dimensions are:
    width at fuse - 4" approx 100mm
width axle hole to axle hole - 13 3/4" or approx 350mm height from axle to fuse 8 1/4" or approx 210mm (this is what the height would be if a plumb was droped from the fuse bottom to the ground...not the length of the gear leg) Rearward sweep of the gear is approx 2" or 50mm.
Can anyone suggest a carbon replacement (the original is fiberglass).
I've checked a couple of the obvious sources like Central and Bolly but no luck.
Does anyone know of a gear available from Goldberg, Great Planes, etc?
Thanks for wading thru this mess!
