Twytaylor,
It is proper to use only one pipe mount. It works fine.

Subject: [NSRCA-discussion] Mounting a pipe on a YS1.60dz
I plan on mounting this engine and pipe in a Focus2 this week for test flights this weekend. I have a new Hatori 699 muffler and matching header. Is it proper to mount it using only one pipe mount towards the rear of the pipe or should I use two mounts front and aft?. How about a header brace? I don't want to reinvent the wheel by breaking headers until I learn what works and what doesn't. Thanks
