[NSRCA-discussion] OS 140 EFI

Matt,

Here is my point of view on the rare use of EFI.

I don't think it was because of YS, but the pricing on EFI (now
discontinued). Even those in Japan didn't buy much of it, but the standard
RX was a hit.

If OS had set the price of EFI at around $500 ~ $700 from the beginning and
kept the parts price lower (all those EFI related parts were/are expensive),
I believe, it should have been a very popular one.

Nobody asked about the EFI pricing, but when the price closeout price at
around $540. The EFIs that I had went like a hotdogs within a week. I
should have kept one for myself.

Also the bearing problem was for the 140 RX, not the EFI.

I will see how mine runs in September.

Hey Glenn,

The reason why is because. Lots of us use YS engines. And because the os
140s have a major bearing problem. You will have to change the bearing.

Anybody have an opinion about the OS140 EFI? I have seen very few being
used, other than price is there a reason?

Randy
