Sounds to me like he might not have enough servo power. Winding up into
snaps and unreliable exits is a big indicator of this.

That fat wing just doesn't seems to like to snap.

Yep.

The only entry speeds he's tried are what you'd expect for the
Reverse Avalanche and the 45 Down Snap.
