[NSRCA-discussion] The Pilot

One of the things I've always liked about Pattern is competing against the
best in whatever class I've ever flown. I don't want a separate category for
the "Unsponsored Loser", or a separate category for the "Older Losers" or
any category other than the class I fly. I probably won't win anymore in FAI
due to: (1) lack of talent to begin with, (2) lack of Practice, (3) being 65
years old with all the problems that brings, (4) obsolete equipment, and any
other excuse I can think of. But don't patronize me with a separate class.
I'll fly as best I can against the big boys and just have fun wherever I
place.
Please, no more whining about sponsored pilots. They have earned what they
get from their sponsors because their sponsors think it's good for business.
If you think they have an advantage, so what. Just fly better!

BTW - in my original postings I was only leading to suggesting the thought
that the winners who are not sponsored should be recognized within a class
and or given their own "highest amateur award, or something like that.

Eric.
