Troy,
I have a 783 that I am due to send in for a battery change (I sent it in once before after it went dead at the field). Is this a difficult thing to do on my own as I would like to change it more frequently?
Also, what has been your experience with your model setups...are these retained when the battery is replaced before it actually goes dead? I have to say I don't like this internal battery business!
Thanks in advance!

Troy,
It is about 5 years old. I will send it in before I use it again.
Thanks for the replay.

Yes I think that is what has happened. How old is the TX and when did it last have the internal lithium batt changed. They usually last about 5 yrs but I have seen them go in less. I have it changed every other season.
I send my radios in every year for a checkup and every other time in I have them change the lithium batt. Its really cheap and they are already in the TX looking it over.

Has anyone out there ever seen a "memory error" message on the screen of an 8103 JR transmitter? I am guessing the internal SRAM has a battery backup and it went flat. All of the setups in the model memory went to the default.
