bending an aluminum header

Ive done something similar to NAT, except I used drywall screws w/ washers and screwed it to the leg of my work bench. That way I didnt have to run down the street and steel the stop sign.
 
If your going sideways with it Ive screw blocks to my bench and put the header in between...If you havent guessed I dont have a vise.
