This comparison is making the assumption that those two battery pack are going to last and perform equivalent their life and end of those 40 gals of fuel burned. From what I have read and heard that is no where near truth.  Still makes bad comparison IMHO. ;+}

  Sorry, it's more like:

  Or:
  $240.00 1.60 OS
  $100.00 pipe and header (Rics pipe 1092 clone, KM header)
  $60.00 Budd mount
  $400.00 40 gal. of fuel (15% S&W)
  $800.00 total

  And no fancy schmancy new charger needed either - saving something there too. No grimacing over making legal weight is kinda nice too! :) But the bottom does get dirty :(

        $500.00 motor and speed control
        $300.00 two battery chargers.

          -------------- Original message --------------

          For my next pattern plane project I'm wondering what will be the best, glow engine vs. electric engine?

          In my previous planes I used YS 140DZ, Electric will be new for me. I have no experience with the new electric pattern technology, engine, batteries, and prop's at all.

          Thanks

          Aviram
