Hopefully, the Nats set an example for the rest of the contests.

In light of that, there should be few surprises at the pilots meeting. If a
rule is to be modified or waived it should be published prior to the event.
Rule modification at the pilots meeting should consider all those involved.

If a few of the registered contestants are having trouble with a given
maneuver, should it be dropped from the sequence? I hope not. They knew that
before they left home!

Does a particular maneuver cause a safety/Public relations/judging problem?
Again a no brainer-- it needs to be carefully considered whenever it is
discovered.

Some of us actually practice T&L. I will go so far as to suggest that if
they are a problem I would prefer a contestant NOT FLY the contest until
they are mastered.

This discussion is leading me to believe we should move T&L' s to a K5.

Of course, the judging parameters need to be broad enough to not dwell on
the trivial aspects of the maneuvers. In essence, the airplane should land
on the runway without threatening a people populated area and not taking any
damage.

Takeoffs should never point towards people.
