You are in the ballpark,however I use a 16.5x12W on my 140DZ and it turns 81-8300. The needle has a flat spot in the adjustment, with an increase in needle, (going Leaner),the rpm doesnt change much. Adjust to the upper end of this flat spot(leaner). It will use less fuel.
There are different headers. If you have one of the first headers, the header mating flange is milled differently. On this one do not use the copper washer in the head, but use the 2 big copper washers between the header and head.
On the later version header you can use the copper washer in the head and also the 2 big copper washers and the nut will tighten the header to the head. Still use the sealer like you are doing. The object is to get the header to seat hard against the side of the head,then it will seal.
