Hi Terry,

The limit is 25k. Pictures are a problem for those using dial-up. This is the reason for the size.

Best,

  Terry,
I sent your note, along with a picture of Jim working at the Nat's, to Ed Hartley. Ed fashioned it into a tribute and now has it on our opening page.

  Thanks for letting us know.

  Regards,

  Eric.

P.S. I tried to post his picture on the list but I ran into the size limit problem again. Even when I made it a very small picture it would not embed and pass the size limit. I wonder if we can expand the service to allow attachments and embedded pictures?

For those of you who have competed at the NATs over the past few years, you may have met Jim. He was in charge of scoring for at least the past 4 years. On the other hand, you may not have seen him, as he stayed behind the desk in the back room at the headquarters building most of the time.

Just a short note to let you guys know that Jim passed away last Monday, 5/9.

Jim was in his late 70s, and did not take his second retirement until this past winter, and then only after having been diagnosed with terminal Cancer.

In January he told a few of our club members of his prognosis, and said they gave him just a few months. Unfortunately, they were right.

For anyone wishing to express condolences, his wife's name is Jean, and she lives at 328 Raylene Dr. Vestal, NY 13850.

    Terry T.

I have a Jeff Carrish/Troy Newman built Typhoon 2+2 for sale.

The aircraft is built, covered, virtually ARF. It is covered in monokote in red, blue and yellow. Inlcudes the hyde mount, gator wing and stab adjusters, retracts, nose ring and control horns. The servo mounts are in, the rudder cable is run, the elevators are on an MK bellcrank. You would need to install a motor, servos, tank, and build elevator and airleron pushrods, receiver, switch and battery and go fly. This is a very light, straight well built 2 meter pattern bird set up for a YS 140-160. Asking $650 plus shipping, could possibly deliver to Albuerqueque or the Nats. Email me off list for more information or picturs.
