Fliton planes

I guess it's good to know that there aren't so many Jason's out there...lol.
The QS I flew Wed had the following in it:
Hacker A-20 20L
Hacker Master 30 Controller (might have been 18, don't remember)
APC 10x4.7SF
Futaba 3108 servos
Expert 6 channel Rx
Thunder Power 2100 3-cell
Flew well until the motor came loose, then floated in fine. I'd say it a pattern capable airplane for sure. Didn't have enough throws for any 3D flying, but would hover at 1/2 power.

I too am NOT Jason but, I second all the accolades the QS is getting.
Mine is equipped with Hi-Maxx 2025-4200 swinging a APC 12/6
Phoenix 25 programmed as follows:
a) 9.1 Option 5 9v cut off for 3 cells LiPoly (in conjunction with (f) below)
b) 9.2 Option 3 standard current limiting
c) 9.3 Option 5 Brake Disabled
d) 9.4 Option 2 Fixed throttle
e) 9.5 Option 2 Standard Advance Timing (may cause prop to jump at start up)
f) 9.6 Option 2 Soft Cutoff (informs you when battery is low)
g) 9.7 Option 3 Fast Start (for fast throttle response essential for hovering)
Thunder power 3cell 1320's
HiTec 6channel & HS55's
Weight 22.5oz
CG is where the plans call for. So that means it was necessary to set the battery up in the bottom of the cowl, not where they recommend.
I do not have an unlimited amount of vertical but am able to do a lot of horizontal practice with a plane that fly's like a pattern bird. Really impressive slow rolls, Point rolls & rollers around the 3 foot altitude on calm mornings. It will hover & high alpha roll but NOT like a foamie.
IF I want to hover I fly a foamie @ 14oz

I'm wondering what kind of equipment (motor, battery, speed
control) people are using in the Quite Storm? It looks like it would be
a great, simple plane to throw in the car for a quick flight or two.

Terry,
I know that I'm not Jason but, I can tell you from first hand experience
that
the Quiet Storm is an awesome small airplane. Very attractive with good
flight
qualities and the Jumping Jack has a problem with the wing spar being
too weak
and requiring reinforcing before you ever get to fly it ( unless youir
favorite
word is SPLAT).
Good luck,
Georgie
