Contests

It is a fantastic site! But, in the spring and fall, the sun is too low in 
the sky and makes it necessary to set-up two flight lines (due to facing 
south). When that is done, there is no reference line for the pilots to fly 
parallel with. In June, the sun is high enough in the sky to just set-up a 
single line. Again, maybe this just bugs me, but I don't like it if we have 
other choices. In 2004, we just didn't have a choice since Pensacola was 
devastated by the hurricane. Andersonville was chosen as a last minute D3 
champs site since it was available. Again, I think it is a great site in 
June, just not great in the fall as far as pattern flying goes.
