Steve,
    If the fuel tank is on the CG you can add a hopper tank "small 2 oz
fuel tank) right behind the firewall.  The stick on weights will also work
but it is best to screw or epoxy them in place since the tape does not
hold very well.  Just make sure you can remove them if you decide to
change the CG. 
    I finished Sportsman last year and am in Intermediate this year.  In my
opinion for Sportman being slightly nose heavy may be preferable, it 
makes the plane groove better (less sensitive in pitch).  As long as
you can comfortably feed in down to hold in for the two point roll
and double immelman you are ok.
