Happy Father's Day

Thanks Eric,

I'll remember the DVD's. My wife is a lot more worried than I am, I'm just glad he chose the Navy instead of one of the land based services.
This trip will be the last for the F-14's attached to his ship as well. I've got some great video and stills of planes taking off and landing from his flight deck.

As with you, "proud" is just the beginning.

Ken

May your god go with your son and all of those with him. My boy just got back from six months on the USS Harry S.Truman in the same location. He got to see the last F-14's fly from that carrier.

When you get past the fear of what they are doing it makes you one heck of a proud father.

Send him DVD's, they love them and they mail well..

  Eric.

    Eric,

Sounds like you're having a good one. I also have a son on a carrier, the USS Theodore Roosevelt, heading out on his first 5 week on Wednesday and then the Persion Gulf in September.
I just got back from our field, it's a great day for flying.
Congrat's to your son, the new dad.

    Ken

      Ken,
I had a surprise visit from my youngest son and his buddy. They are both Navy carrier guys and are based out of Norfolk VA.

When there are girls around they think that they are "Maverick and Goose". When they are driving golf carts they think that they are "Montoya and Alonso". Oh to b be that young (20) again!

It's all quiet now. Phew! They had to go back on duty today, so my actual Father's day is that I get to go flying and call my eldest son as I drive to the field. This year I get to wish him "Happy father's day!"

      Eric.

Happy Father's Day to all those dad's out there, and also to those who will be dad's soon.
