Spyware, firewall software

I do IT work for a living, so I get to test many antivirus apps. I have used
PCCillin on my home machines since the mid-90's, and we use Trend Micro
products exclusively here at work, after having tried them all. Been using
them for several years now.
IMHO, the Symantec A/V product IS a virus.
YMMV, of course.

What I love about Trends program is it doesn't slow down my puter like
Norton and Mcafee do.. it also notifies u with a tickler as soon as a new
virus is detected by them on the net to keep you very up to date.. I love
the ease and how well Trend keeps me on line and no hassles..

Earlier this year, PC Magazine published a report on some of the antivirus
programs out there (Norton, MacA, Trend, included) and rated Trend Micro
tops.
A short time ago when my son was looking for a program to install in his new
computer (to replace the one that came with it), I advised him of the
article and after doing some research on his own, installed Trend Micro's
program. Based on PCMagazine's evaluation of Trend's software, etc, I plan
to switch to Trend when my Norton subcription expires later this year (looks
like some others already have).
