Paul,
I have done something similar and have a solution for you. I am on the road for work for the next week or so. I will try and take a picture for you, but I will have to take my Tx apart.
Contact me off-line in a week if you haven't already found a solution.
Tom

Subject: 9Z WC2 question
Hi all,
I have a 9Z and I changed it so that the throttle stick no longer has the detents. The stick is now a little to free. I would like it to remain smooth, but want the stick to hold position a little better. The stick slides too easy. Any ideas to tighten the movement slightly? Thanks in advance. This is a little off topics as it is now being used in a heli, but feel it would make airplanes smoother on throttle as well.
